I Went for My National Health Checkup, and There’s More to Do Than I Thought

I’d been putting it off every year, but this time I actually went. I was nervous from the day before because I had to go on an empty stomach in the morning, but in reality, from check-in to finishing everything took about an hour and a half.

I did a few extra tests beyond the basic items, and I heard a lot that it’s better once you’re over 40. The results come out in two weeks, and the waiting period is the most unsettling. Still, I feel it’s a hundred times better than not going. If you’ve been putting it off, start by making an appointment within this month.

Agreed—it's honestly a hundred times better than not going. I put it off for three years and finally went last year, and the uneasiness until the results came out was lol.

An hour and a half is pretty fast. In my area, I waited in line for 40 minutes just to check in... Still, if you got the additional tests, that’s much better than just doing the basics. Did you happen to get an upper endoscopy too? I had mine under sedation, and I was groggy until the next day.
