Why I dropped that game after 20 hours
I was excited because it was supposed to be open world, but around the 20-hour mark I started thinking, "Why am I even playing this?" The map is huge, but there's no reason to explore, and all the side quests have the same structure.
The action was genuinely good. But after doing that action for 20 hours, it got boring. Even at 40% off, I regret paying full price for it lol

Agreed—these days open worlds often boast only about their size while being completely empty inside.
Can I ask what game this is? I’m curious since you mentioned the action is good.
Well, 20 hours is actually quite a lot done, isn’t it? If it were me, I’d have quit at 5 hours. And if the action was good, I feel like you could just focus on combat as you go around. I also kind of think expecting an “reason to adventure” from an open-world game might be asking a bit too much.
I had exactly the same thought at around 30 hours haha. Every side quest follows the same “go collect 3 things” pattern, so after a while I couldn’t tell whether I was playing a game or doing homework.
