Am I the Only One Who Suddenly Opens YouTube While Coding?
So I'm writing code, and suddenly my hand is already on YouTube. I was about to search for 'JavaScript array methods,' but it turns out I was watching a 'cat washing video.'
Anyone with focus issues want to share some tips? I do Pomodoro—25 minutes of work, 5 minutes of rest—but if I look at my phone during the break, it's game over.

Agreed, me too lol
During Pomodoro breaks, don't look at your phone—just get up and drink water. That's the answer.
This is right lol. If you type 'array' into the search bar and 'baby tiger' pops up, it's already too late.
But honestly, doesn't everyone have that kind of thing? I'd rather just block YouTube itself, using an extension.
I leave my phone in a completely different room while coding. But that still can't stop me from going to YouTube on my MacBook...
Well, I actually pick up coding tips while watching YouTube. Watching just one video on array methods helps a lot lol
Disagree. Isn't that just laziness? If you really wanted to do it, you wouldn't be looking for excuses.
Oh, I totally relate to this. I was searching for 'git commands' and ended up watching 'hamster mukbang' lolllll. Tip: make a site block list in your browser.
Pomodoro is good, but 25 minutes is too short for me. I do 50 minutes of work and take a 10-minute break. Even if I'm watching YouTube during the break, I stop immediately when the timer goes off.
