The more I watch the news, the more it seems like it's all about housing prices

These days, whenever I turn on the news, it's either real estate, stocks, interest rates, or some political issue. It gives me a headache, so I deliberately only watch YouTube entertainment shows, but the algorithm keeps showing me economic news anyway.

Government policy this, interest rates that... I don't even know what's right, and in the end, everyone's conversational topics are all about money. I don't know how all of this is connected.

Yeah, just watch YouTube instead of the news.

Well... isn't the channel you're watching the problem? Turn off the economic news and watch other news.

Right. These days, turning on the news is nothing but housing prices and interest rates. But I can't even afford a house, so I don't get why I should have to listen to all that. I just live with all my news notifications turned off.

I feel the same. Honestly, the most annoying thing about housing price talk is that it feels like it’s hopeless no matter what you do. A few years ago, everyone around me who bought with loans made out well, and I was too scared to buy back then. Now, even if I save up, I can’t get in. I’ve just decided to take it one day at a time. What’s the point of the news anyway...

Honestly, I disagree. News doesn't just cover real estate; there are many other fields. The reason there's so much real estate news is simply because it takes up a large share of the Korean economy. Of course, I understand it can be stressful, but you might also miss out on information you actually need. I think the answer is to just pick out the news that matches your interests and ignore the rest.
