3 Weeks In, Still Torn Between a MacBook and a Windows Laptop

I'm trying to buy a new laptop for development, but I really can't decide. I use a Mac at work and a Windows desktop at home, and both have clear pros and cons.

MacBook pros

  • Battery lasts a really long time
  • Unix-based, so the dev environment is convenient
  • Great trackpad feel

Windows laptop pros

  • Better value (half the price for the same specs)
  • Can run games too
  • Upgradable

In the end, it seems to come down to whether I can give up gaming, and that's the hardest part. How did you all decide?
