It's been a week since my interview and I haven't heard back: so I didn't get it, right?

I felt like the first interview went well, but it's been over a week with no contact. They usually tell you when to expect results, and that deadline has already passed.

Should I reach out first? Or is it better to just wait?

It's better to reach out first. You have nothing to lose. Just politely ask how they're doing, maybe as a way to check in.

Well, if they gave a result deadline and it's already passed, you should just assume you didn't get selected. Does waiting really change anything? If I were you, I'd keep applying elsewhere.
