I felt like the first interview went well, but it's been over a week with no contact. They usually tell you when to expect results, and that deadline has already passed.
Should I reach out first? Or is it better to just wait?

It's better to reach out first. You have nothing to lose. Just politely ask how they're doing, maybe as a way to check in.

Well, if they gave a result deadline and it's already passed, you should just assume you didn't get selected. Does waiting really change anything? If I were you, I'd keep applying elsewhere.
I was in exactly this situation before, and I got the acceptance call two weeks later lol. They said it was delayed because the recruiter was on vacation. Don’t get too discouraged—keep applying elsewhere too.
Try sending the person in charge a quick email. Keep it short, with a tone like, 'I'm waiting for the results—can you share the timeline?' I've actually sent one like that and ended up moving to the next step.
Got a source? Usually, "a week" isn't all the same.
But it really is a bit rude that they haven't contacted you even after the deadline, right? If it's a place that only thinks from the company's perspective, it might be better not to go there.
