Are there copyright issues with images created by Midjourney?
I'm concerned about copyright when creating blog thumbnails or social media images using Midjourney. The legal discussions around generative AI copyright are still unclear, so I'm being cautious.
Personally, I only use it for non-commercial purposes rather than commercial use, and I'm trying to avoid any potential risks. Once legislation is established in the future, we'll be able to use it more freely, right?

Last year, I created a blog cover using Midjourney, but I was worried about copyright and consulted a lawyer. The conclusion was, 'There's no clear standard, so be conservative.' So now I'm using it after making a lot of modifications.
Lately, I hear that generative AI images are also being granted copyright? Don't be too scared, lol.
Looking at Midjourney's terms, sometimes free accounts are for non-commercial use while paid accounts allow commercial use. But ultimately, I think how much you've modified the original image is what matters.
Is it okay to indicate the source?
I heard from a lawyer that there have actually been cases of lawsuits over AI images. In particular, if they resemble logos or realistic images, it could be problematic, and for commercial use, verifying the license is essential. Don't take this too lightly.
