The Scene I Saw at 3 AM While Working Overtime

Today, I failed at debugging again and opened the window. The dawn air was cold and clear. The office lights were the only ones shining, and in the distance on the highway, lights were passing by one by one.

Suddenly, the thought crossed my mind, 'Is it okay for me to live like this?' But it's the thrill of the moment when the code works that keeps me going.

One of my colleagues came over with a cup of coffee and said, 'Looks like it's not happening tonight, let's call it a day.' So I decided to just go home. I'll definitely fix it tomorrow.

Being a developer can be lonely sometimes, but it's these small comforts that help me keep going.

I've had that happen in the early morning too. I was looking out the bus window and suddenly tears started flowing.

That's right lol. Time flies when you're coding.

Well, that seems a bit like self-pity... Actually, shouldn't we be more efficient?

Every real developer feels this way at least once. When I leave the office after a late night and turn off the lights, a feeling of emptiness just washes over me too.

Well read. The dawn air is nice, isn't it? Still, make sure to take care of your health.

Thinking that while watching the highway lights? Kind of romantic, but reality is harsher lol. Keep failing at debugging and all you're left with is frustration.

Hang in there. Tomorrow will be better. I've found that things work out if you keep enduring like that. Sometimes you need rest too.
