Agreed... There are almost no new job postings these days.
Do you have any features in your portfolio that are actually useful? If it's just at a copy-paste level, it'll be hard to pass the screening.
I was in the same boat last year—barely got in through a bootcamp-affiliated startup internship. If you want to build experience, it seems like the answer is to widen your applications, even to smaller companies.
Well, I think a consistent GitHub push history is way better than a certificate from an academy. How about starting with that?
