I'm planning to get an iPad Air: what screen protector did you put on yours?

There are so many types of screen protectors that I can't decide. I hear the paper-like ones are good for writing, but they say it degrades image quality, so I'm torn.

I just put on tempered glass. If you're not writing on it, there's no reason to go for a paper-like texture.

If writing is a big part of your use, a paper-like texture is the answer. That said, you have to put up with some loss in image quality, and pen nibs wear down faster, so consumable costs go up a bit. Personally, I use a paper-like texture for writing and just the bare screen for video.

Well, isn't the claim that paper-like texture degrades image quality a bit outdated? These days there are plenty of low-reflection paper-like films, and even glass films make the perceived image quality drop because of reflections. Always harping on image quality right off the bat seems like a bit much.
