iPhone battery hit 80% in under a year
I bought an iPhone 15, and after just 8 months, the maximum battery capacity dropped to 80%. For the record, I only used a fast charger and never used wireless charging... Is this normal? lol I'm curious about the battery replacement cost.

Yeah, it's true that fast charging reduces battery lifespan, but 8 months is still too extreme.
I also use the 15, and mine was at 87% around the 6-month mark. After enabling optimized charging in settings and not gaming while charging, it's been over a year and it's still holding at 85%. It might be because I only use fast charging, but if you've hit 80%, that's considered serious even without AppleCare. I'd recommend getting it checked at a certified service center. The replacement cost is around 150,000 KRW at official centers. Batteries usually last 1 to 2 years on average, so you haven't been treating it particularly well.
Well, that's a bit weird? It's pretty rare for a battery to drain that fast just from using a fast charger. There's also talk that wireless charging is actually worse because of heat... By the way, are you sure you used an Apple official charger? If it's a counterfeit, that could happen. Anyway, before going to an official service center, check the iOS battery health first. If it's at 80%, you should check your warranty period to see if you qualify for a free replacement.
