My 2-Week Review of Galaxy After Using an iPhone

To get straight to the point, for now I think I’ll go back to iPhone. But I can see why people like it.

What I liked was multitasking and file management. The folder structure shows up as-is, and using it like a USB drive was really convenient. The camera zoom is definitely better too.

The thing I couldn’t get used to was notifications. Having to go into each app’s notification settings and tweak them one by one was such a hassle, and the default app ecosystem still felt awkward. And the ads.

Two weeks feels too short, so I’m planning to use it for another month.

Two weeks? You wouldn't even have the finger positions down, let alone be used to it lol. If it still feels iffy after a month, it's just not for you.

I really feel you on the notification settings. At first, I almost gave up after going into every app and messing with each notification channel one by one. But searching for notification items in Settings helps a bit, and if you just set up a few important apps, you can leave the rest at their defaults without it being too much of a hassle. Just stick with it for the first month.

Well, I don’t think that’s really true for notifications. On iPhone, you also have to go into each app to adjust detailed notification settings, right? If anything, Galaxy lets you fine-tune things at the notification-channel level, so once you get used to it, that’s more convenient. After using it for two weeks, calling it “cumbersome” just seems like a matter of familiarity to me.
