When Should Kids Start Learning to Code?
I'm a mom of a 7-year-old. My child is doing something like block coding at kindergarten, and now I'm wondering whether we should also have them do something at home.
Some people around me say it's not too late even after starting elementary school, while others say the earlier the better these days, so I'm confused. If anyone here works in education or has already tried this, I'd really appreciate your advice.

Starting from 3rd grade in elementary school is enough.
Well, there are studies suggesting that block coding doesn't really help much with logical thinking. I think it's better to just treat it as a fun activity if the child enjoys it.

By age 7, it's more about whether the kid actually wants to do it rather than what mom wants. In our house, we started Scratch at age 8, but starting too early ended up backfiring. ㅠㅠ

Disagree. The concept of being 'late' isn't exclusive to coding. In fact, what you learn at age 7 can often connect with math concepts later in elementary school.
