How Should I Approach AI Education for My Child?

I have a son in the fourth grade, and lately he's just been watching YouTube on his tablet, which worries me. I've been hearing a lot about kids learning AI these days, but is there a program that's just right for his age? I'd like to start with something on the creative side rather than coding. Any advice from those with experience would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, starting at this age is good. But I think you need to set a limit on YouTube first lol.

I started my child on coding with Scratch when they were in third grade. When it comes to creative projects, they enjoy making AI art or chatbots. I've found that rather than YouTube, showing short lessons on a tablet and working on the output together with your child works best. But what really matters is doing it consistently, side by side.

Well, that's a bit... We should first consider whether AI education is truly necessary for elementary school kids. For children, it might be better to just read books and play board games. And watching YouTube isn't necessarily a bad thing either.

Do you have a source? AI education programs tend to be all hype in their ads. We probably need more firsthand reviews from people who've actually tried them.
