Ugh, I'm on my second cup of coffee and still sleepy
I went to bed at midnight last night, so why am I like this? Is this really just me getting old?

Lol, coffee isn't the problem—it seems sleep is.
If you went to bed at midnight, isn't that 7–8 hours of sleep? If you're still sleepy after that much sleep, you should look at your sleep quality—more caffeine isn't the answer. If you snore or tend to wake up during the night, it's worth suspecting sleep apnea.
Isn't that old news? Once you build up a caffeine tolerance, even two cups barely wake you up. If anything, you just get more tired.
Same here—I went to the doctor and it turned out I was iron deficient... I wasted six months just living on coffee. Get a health checkup.
Ah, I can really relate... whether I go to bed at 12 or 10, why does this happen every time morning comes ㅠㅠ
Sleep runs on a 90-minute cycle, so you need to line up when you fall asleep with your wake-up time to feel less tired. If you fell asleep at 12, it's better to wake up at 6 or 7:30 — waking up in between actually makes you more drowsy. Try calculating your cycles with an app or something.
Got a source? I've heard the 90-minute cycle theory also has huge individual variation, so it's a bit much to state it definitively.
Honestly, a midnight bedtime isn’t exactly early. Rather than just blaming it on age, the first step is probably to find the cause—whether it’s blue light or naps.
