I originally cleared Elden Ring on console, but after buying it again on PC and installing mods, it became a completely different game.
First of all, the graphics were incredible. In particular, the mod that changes lighting effects completely refreshes the dungeon atmosphere. It gets so dark that you can barely find your way, lol.
There are also mods that adjust combat balance. The difficulty is definitely higher than the original, but you can feel a wider variety of enemy patterns. However, if you also install a mod that lets you raise stats quickly without NG+ scaling, the balance feels like it collapses, so I recommend clearing the game at least once before enjoying them.
I didn't have time to fight every boss again, but I replayed about half of them with mods, and they definitely guarantee fun. Trying a setup with only boss-specific mods installed and fighting with fresh patterns would also be a great experience.
