It Would Be Great If AI Could Analyze Year-End Tax Settlement Data
Every year during the year-end tax settlement season, I get stressed out preparing documents. Last year, the simplified data from the National Tax Service wasn't enough, so I had to gather a lot of additional items. It suddenly occurred to me: wouldn't it be great if AI could analyze my spending patterns and provide personalized recommendations like 'This item qualifies for medical expense deductions'? Does such a service already exist? Or I'm considering building one myself.

I totally relate. It's always a bummer to miss out on certain items, so having AI recommend them automatically would be a game-changer. I know the National Tax Service's HomeTax already has basic inquiry features, but as far as I know, personalized recommendations aren't available yet. If you're building it yourself, analyzing patterns in medical expenses, education costs, and donations would be key. It might even be fun to whip up a quick prototype in Python!
I've thought about something similar too. There's actually a startup that launched an AI-powered year-end tax settlement analysis service. Tax platforms like 'SamjjimSam' use simplified data to find additional deduction items. However, some of them are paid services, so if you build one yourself and share it as open source, it could help a lot of people!
Great idea! Last year I missed one medical expense deduction and it made a difference of tens of thousands of won in my tax refund. It would be super convenient if AI could scan my spending history and pop up a notification saying 'This medical expense is eligible for deduction.' By the way, does any card company app offer a similar feature? I've been looking around but can't seem to find one.
