Rewatched an Old Anime After a Long Time

I watched it again after over a decade, and the art style and music were just the same, which made me a little emotional. I'd forgotten the whole story, but it's amazing how it all comes back as soon as the opening plays.

I can totally relate to only remembering the opening... As soon as the first line of the intro comes on, I'm automatically singing along lol

I rewatched one last year for the first time in over a decade, and at first I loved that it still had the same vibe, but from episode 3 onward, the slow stretch in the middle got a bit tiring. So these days, when I rewatch, I don’t binge it all at once—I break it up into 1–2 episodes a day. Doing that makes the afterglow I felt back then last much longer. Also, I made a separate playlist for the soundtrack, and when I put it on while working, I instantly teleport back to those days lol. Try doing it that way sometime.

Well, isn't that just partly nostalgia goggles? I rewatched a few too, and some scenes that really moved me back then now feel awkwardly directed and the dialogue is pretty cringey in a lot of places. The music is still good, of course. But you didn't actually mention which work it is. That would make all the difference.

It's a really fascinating phenomenon that you forget the content but still remember the opening. For me, it's the opposite — I only remember the ending, so I couldn't feel any tension even while rewatching it. I'm curious what the work was.
