I Went Grocery Shopping and Broke Down Over These Crazy Prices

Yesterday, after I finished grocery shopping, the fruit prices were no joke. 5,000 won for one apple? That's not an apple, that's a gold apple.

Yesterday evening, I stopped by the mart on my way back from my parents' house, and 4 apples were over 20,000 won lol. Still, apples seem to be the best choice these days. I can't even look at strawberries or cherries. I'm putting them in the cart and then taking them out one by one before checking out...

Well, isn't 5,000 won for a single apple a bit much? It varies by neighborhood, but I bought mine somewhere cheaper. At Homeplus or E-mart, you can usually find smaller ones for around 3,000 won.

These days, you should check the current prices before buying fruit. Right now, imported or frozen fruit is the way to go. Yesterday at the mart I bought 5 apples, but it came to 25,000 won, so I took 2 out before paying. Now when it comes to fruit, buying just one at a time whenever I feel like eating it is better for my peace of mind. Also, I check Coupang and Market Kurly often for discount coupons. You can get things surprisingly cheap. But it's true that prices really have gone up. You can see domestic fruit decreasing and imports increasing...
