How much are gym membership fees in your neighborhood these days?
I'm looking into switching gyms after moving, and the prices vary wildly depending on the neighborhood. Some places charge 300,000 won for 3 months, while others offer 400,000 won for a year, so I'm not sure what's normal. How much do you all pay for your gym memberships? Also, is personal training absolutely necessary? I'd appreciate recommendations for cost-effective options.

The place I currently go to costs 350,000 won per year. I'm not taking separate personal training. At first, I learned by watching YouTube, but I think it's good to try getting a session or two if you need posture correction.
In our neighborhood, the average is 250,000 won for 3 months, so 400,000 won for a year is quite cheap. PT isn't mandatory, but if you're a beginner at working out, I'd recommend taking about 10 sessions to get the basic form down.
I pay 500,000 won a year, and I'm satisfied because the facilities are great. Even though the price may seem high, make sure to check the shower rooms and equipment condition. PT is optional, but if you have a goal, it's definitely more effective to take it.
Gym prices really vary a lot. I found one for 180,000 won for 6 months and got a discount by signing up during a promotion. I’m not taking personal training, but I go with a friend and we check each other’s form.
I feel that 300,000 won for 3 months is a bit on the expensive side. If you find a deal around 400,000 won for a year, that's pretty good, but make sure to ask if personal training (PT) is included. Individual PT sessions usually cost around 50,000 won each.
Have you looked into local community sports centers? I go to one for less than 50,000 won a month, and while there's no personal training, it's enough for basic workouts. Just be careful with private gyms—many of them try to bundle PT services.
I was also worried when I moved here, but I ended up signing up for a 450,000 won annual membership. I added a 10-session PT package for 400,000 won, and it really helped a lot with posture correction. If you're looking for cost-effectiveness, starting without PT isn't a bad option either.
Gym prices vary a lot depending on the location and facilities. I go to one for 300,000 won a year, and while the equipment is a bit old, it doesn't affect my workouts. As for personal training, I think it's not essential since you can replace it with YouTube.
I signed up for a 3-month package including PT for 500,000 won, and I'm satisfied because the personal trainer is very thorough. But it is expensive, though. If it's your first gym, trying just 1-2 PT sessions before deciding is also a good approach.
Gym prices usually range from 300,000 to 500,000 won per year. I signed up for 380,000 won a year, but make sure to check if it's not too crowded during peak hours. Personal training is optional, but it's good to get it for about a month when you're starting out.
