These days I'm leaving all my cultural life to AI
This morning on my commute, I was watching YouTube and it suddenly occurred to me: these days AI recommends my music playlists, picks out the movies I watch on weekends, and I even ask AI where to eat.
One thing that surprised me is that most of the time, the choices it makes are more satisfying than the ones I make myself. It's fascinating but also a bit unsettling that the algorithm seems to know my taste better than I do.
Is everyone else living like this? Or are there still a lot of traditionalists?

Yeah, I'm leaving it to AI too lol
Same here. It gives me goosebumps seeing how YouTube Music knows my taste. But sometimes the song I'm looking for just won't appear, so I look for it myself lol.
Well, that's a bit... It's not that AI knows your taste — it just shows you what it thinks you'll like based on what you've watched, so doesn't that actually narrow your choices? It's only natural to feel uneasy about that.
Isn't that an old story? AI these days is different.
Got a source? Is that whole "high satisfaction" thing based on actual statistics?
At first, I wasn't really into AI recommendations, but lately I actually like them. Especially restaurant picks—it's really good at suggesting places. Still, over time the algorithm tends to show only what I already like, so I've found it helps to deliberately listen to other genres or try new places once in a while.
This is right lol
I'm a traditional person, but I've been changing a bit lately. However, movies picked by AI rarely leave a lasting impression. Since it just chooses the comfortable option, I end up watching only things that are sensational or safe. That might actually feel satisfying in the moment, but it leaves me feeling a bit unsettled.
