Unlike a coffee chat, I actually met up with friends for the first time in a long while. Maybe because everyone's been living such busy lives, the excitement of seeing each other was brief—now the conversation topics are marriage, housing, and kids.
I'm still far from all that, and it was a bit strange and unsettling to see all the friends I used to hang out with having become adults. Of course, it wasn't all serious talk—we did laugh over stories about work stress...
Anyway, after meeting up, I feel good, but there's this feeling of being even lonelier. Is this what getting older is, or what?
