Why Is It So Tough for New Developers to Get Hired These Days?

I'm seriously losing my mind. I've got 3 portfolio projects, a solid GitHub commit history, and I've been grinding algorithms 5 days a week, yet my application acceptance rate is under 10% lol. Everyone around me is either interning at a big company or has startup experience, and I have no idea why I'm stuck like this.

Agreed... I'm in a similar situation, so I can relate. But isn't 3 portfolio pieces a bit on the low side? I've heard that 5-6 is the standard minimum.

Well, networking might be more important than grass and algorithms. Looking at the specs of acquaintances, aren't they all cases where they got in through connections? Instead, try meeting more people in open chats or communities.

That's right lol, I barely got in last year after applying to 100 places too. But reading the post, it seems like you should start managing your stamina as well, take care of your mental health.
