Has coffee gotten way too expensive these days?

I grab an Americano on my way to work in the morning, and it's already 5,000 won at the very least. I'm spending over 100,000 won a month just on coffee, and I'm starting to wonder if this is really okay. I know brewing it at home would be better, but I'm too lazy and end up buying it anyway. How much are you all spending on coffee? Does anyone have recommendations for good value coffee beans or a coffee machine?

It's really gone up a lot. Just last year, you could get an Americano for 4,000 won, but these days I've seen them go up to 5,500 won. I think I spend about 120,000 won a month myself.

I bought a coffee machine last year and recouped the cost within six months. It's a bit of a hassle, but it only takes five minutes in the morning, and I'm much more satisfied because I can choose the beans to my taste and brew it myself.

Have you looked into cafes that offer free refills? These days, some franchise chains provide Americano refill services, so you can enjoy two cups for the price of one.

I brew coffee at home using Nespresso capsules, and it only costs about 500 won per cup. It's a bit of a hassle, but I keep doing it because I enjoy saving money.

10,000 won for coffee sounds nice... I'm spending over 15,000 wonㅠㅠ But for cost-effective beans, 'Moms Coffee' or 'Coffee Bean' on sale are pretty good.

If you're busy in the morning, it can't be helped. I have the same concern, but these days I've compromised by carrying a tumbler and getting discounts. Saving 300 won each time adds up nicely.

Could you recommend some coffee beans? I'm also looking into brewing at home, and I'm wondering if there are any good beans or machines for beginners. Like the article mentioned, I have a lot of questions too.

I just gave up and started drinking water instead of coffee. It's good for my health and saves money too—a two-for-one deal, I guess? But sometimes when I think about it, I go to Starbucks for a cup, and that's the hard part.
