Are convenience store lunch box prices for real these days?
I bought a lunch box at GS25 today and it was 5,500 won. I feel like it was around 4,000 won just last year... As someone who eats alone often, it's getting burdensome to buy one every day. How do you all handle lunch costs? Bringing homemade lunch vs convenience store vs delivery—what's the smart choice?

Right, the price has really gone up. I was shocked too when I saw it for 5,500 won at GS25. There used to be one for 3,900 won...
I've been making lunch boxes at home lately. It was a bit of a hassle at first, but once I tried it, I found it saves on ingredient costs and I can customize the taste, which is great.
As someone who eats alone, I still think convenience store lunch boxes are better than delivery. Delivery costs at least 10,000 won per order.
5,500 won is definitely more expensive than before. But considering inflation, I guess it can't be helped.
Instead of convenience store lunch boxes, I buy instant rice from Daiso or the mart and just get side dishes separately. I can manage it for under 3,000 won!
I totally feel you on the lunch budget struggle. I compromised by eating home-cooked meals 3 days a week and grabbing convenience store food the other 2 days. I just can't give it up completely.
Have you been keeping an eye on the sale times? At GS25, some lunch boxes go on discount after 5 PM. I buy them then and eat them for lunch the next day.
Delivery is definitely expensive, so I usually eat a convenience store lunchbox with an added ramen. Still, it costs around 7,000 won and fills me up.
