Realistic Tips for Living the 'God-Life' Trend Among MZ Generation
I keep hearing people around me talk about living the 'god-life,' so I want to give it a try too. Waking up at 6 AM, exercising, studying, self-improvement... But in reality, I'm just so exhausted lol. For those of you who are actually living the god-life, how do you stay consistent? Especially as an office worker, I don't have enough energy to study after work. Please share your routines or motivation tips.

I was all fired up about 'living the perfect life' at first too, but burned out after just two weeks lol. I think the key is stacking 'small wins' rather than a perfect routine. Instead of waking up at 6 AM, I compromised with 6:30 AM, and started with 20-minute home workouts. After work, I strictly study for only 30 minutes and stop. Going too hard from the start just doesn't last long.
I'm in my first year of the 'intense self-improvement' lifestyle as a working professional, and the key is 'managing your energy.' To study after work, I always take a 15-minute nap during lunch and cut off coffee after 2 PM. Also, I've found that doing a little bit each weekday is much better for consistency than cramming everything on the weekend. For motivation, I recommend posting daily proof on Instagram!
The term 'gap-life' itself feels burdensome, so I just call it 'my life,' haha. I mean, waking up at 6 AM isn't mandatory, right? I get up at 7 and still have plenty of time to exercise and get to work. The key is finding your own rhythm. It's pointless to follow others and burn out. Start with small goals.
Are you getting enough sleep? I once tried to live a 'perfect life' on just 5 hours of sleep, but my immune system crashed and I collapsed. Now I make sure to get 7 hours, and I've switched to light stretching for exercise. I replaced study time with 20 minutes on the subway to work, and it's been much easier. Don't push yourself if your body can't handle it!
I'm living a 'moderate life' instead of a 'god-tier life' lol. 6 AM is way too awful, so I set it to 7 AM, and I only exercise 3 days a week. After work, I study for an hour and then rest right away. The key is to have a 'day off' to reset. I've designated Sunday as a complete rest day, so I get less burnout.
The secret to maintaining a productive life is a 'small reward system.' For example, treat yourself to something delicious on the weekend after five consecutive days of exercise, or watch a movie after accumulating 10 hours of study. Also, studying after work using the Pomodoro technique—25 minutes of focus followed by 5 minutes of rest—makes it much less exhausting. For motivation, I recommend imagining 'yourself one year from now'!
