Three Years of Putting 500,000 Won a Month into an ETF: My Honest Thoughts
Without any grand strategy, I've just been buying an S&P 500-tracking ETF with 500,000 won every month. It's been a little over three years now.
To get straight to the point, it's boring. Really boring. But not opening my account seems to be the best thing I do. Last year, when the market dropped sharply, not checking and just letting it pass was a stroke of genius.
Returns are just the market average. Nothing to brag about and nothing to regret. But I'm certain that without the "monthly automatic transfer" setup, I would definitely have tinkered with it along the way.
