Facts, switching stocks is seriously the worst thing you can do lol. I spent 2 years jumping between different ones and my returns got cut in half.
I was in a similar boat. At first, I thought trying a bit of everything was how you learn, but looking back, I would've been much better off just picking one and continuing to invest in it. Now I decide in advance how many stocks to buy and when to rebalance, and if something falls outside that, I don't touch it. Writing the rules down on paper helps more than you'd think.
Well, that's a bit... Isn't it too early to be talking about regret after only three years? Do you have any evidence that switching stocks ended up being a loss? The idea that it would've been better not to switch just sounds like hindsight bias to me.
People who constantly switch stocks mostly just react to the news lol. I set up automatic transfers and turned off app notifications, and I stopped getting shaken. By the way, if you write down why you switched and how you felt at the time, you can stop yourself from doing the same thing next time.
