Three years in stocks and I'm back at break-even lol

I tried all sorts of things and studied hard, but in the end I'm just at break-even. I wonder if I'd have been better off just putting it in a savings account.

Still, I guess I should be glad I didn't lose anything lol.

But when you say break-even, is that really based on your original principal? If you averaged down and lowered your average cost, there are often cases where you're actually at a real loss—did you calculate it after deducting all fees and taxes?

Breaking even means you did well lol. Just not losing your mind over 3 years is already a positive return.
