My Indoor Cat Is Afraid of the AI Camera

I bought an AI cam for cat care, but my cat gets startled and runs away when it makes a sound while focusing. They say an adjustment period is needed, but it's already been a week. Has anyone had a similar experience? Or could you recommend other smart devices?

It might still take a week to adjust! Our cat took about two weeks, but now they nap in front of the cam lol. At first, I placed the cam near a box where they could hide and gave them treats, and they slowly got used to it. Hang in there!

I've had a similar experience! My cat was scared of the LED light on the AI cam. I heard they'd adapt in about a week, but it actually took longer than expected. Try slowly placing the cam near your cat's treats to create a positive association. It took me about a month, but now my cat is fine with it.

What AI cam are you using? I found a pet-specific model that makes almost no focusing sound. Could you tell me the model name? I can recommend it. I'm using 'PetCam Pro'—my cat was wary at first but got used to it in just two days.

I had the same concern, so I ended up switching to a regular CCTV with a built-in microphone and speaker. It just shows video without any AI features, and my cat doesn't pay any attention to it at all. If you don't really need AI functions, a simple product like that should work fine.

Cats are sensitive to new sounds and movements. The focusing sound can be especially startling because it resembles the sounds of small prey animals. Try operating the camera from a distance at first, then gradually move it closer. I'm planning to give it another week, and if it doesn't work out, I'll switch to a quieter product.
