Please recommend a home workout routine for exercising alone
I signed up for a gym, but I find it annoying to go every time, so I'm thinking of starting home workouts. I currently have two dumbbells and a yoga mat. There are plenty of videos on YouTube, but I'd appreciate a recommendation for an easy-to-follow routine for beginners. My goal is more about maintaining muscle strength rather than losing body fat.

You can definitely get a full-body workout with just two dumbbells. Search for 'dumbbell full body routine' on YouTube—there are plenty of 20-minute videos for beginners. I do a combination of hip thrusts, dumbbell rows, and overhead presses, three sets each. It's perfect for maintaining strength.
I was in a similar situation, and I started with the basic three-move set: bodyweight squats, push-ups, and planks. I use dumbbells for curls or shoulder presses. I recommend beginner routines from YouTube channels like 'Ddangkke Couple' or 'Hip Tteum.' Don't overdo it—just 3 to 4 times a week worked well for me.
If your goal is to maintain muscle strength, try 'circuit training' with dumbbells. For example: 15 dumbbell squats, 10 push-ups, 10 dumbbell rows per side, and a 30-second plank. Repeat for 3–4 sets. It's easy for beginners and takes little time. The YouTube channel 'Fitness Blender' has plenty of free videos.
I find high-intensity programs like 'P90X' or 'Insanity' too overwhelming, so I'm doing a 'yoga + dumbbell' combo instead. I stretch on a yoga mat for 10 minutes, then do simple strength training with dumbbells for 20 minutes. The 'Yoga with Adriene' YouTube channel is great for beginners. It's manageable for maintaining muscle strength.
If you have two dumbbells, I highly recommend 'Goblet Squats' and 'Dumbbell Chest Press.' They're effective for full-body strength and the form is easy to learn. Check out the beginner routine video on YouTube from 'Athlean-X.' I've been doing it 4 days a week, 30 minutes a day, and my strength has been well-maintained for 3 months now.
The YouTube channel 'MadFit' is pretty good. Their full-body workout videos with just one dumbbell are about 15 minutes long and the explanations are easy to follow. I mainly do 'dumbbell deadlifts' and 'bent-over rows' to maintain my strength. It's easy for beginners to follow along too.
If you find it hard to stay motivated on your own, I recommend the '7 Minute Workout' app. You can replace dumbbells with water bottles, and it offers different routines every day so it never gets boring. It's great for maintaining muscle strength, and beginners can adjust the difficulty level too.
