Running AI Image Generation Models at Home: Installation Guide
I installed Stable Diffusion XL locally. Here's a guide for beginners.
- Requirements: GPU with 8GB+ VRAM, 16GB RAM recommended
- Installation steps:
1. Install Python 3.10 or higher
2. Git clone: git clone https://github.com/AUTOMATIC1111/stable-diffusion-webui.git
3. Run webui-user.bat (Windows)
- Tip: Download models from Hugging Face, and applying LoRA together boosts quality.
There were many errors at first, but they were solvable with Google searches. Satisfied that it's free to use.

Agreed, I tried this too and it was easier than I thought.
Well... for beginners to follow along, 8GB of GPU memory might not be enough. 12GB or more is recommended.
Oh, this is really nice! But is there a way to run it other than using webui-user.bat?

Disagree. ComfyUI is more up-to-date and convenient than AUTOMATIC1111.

Isn't that an old method? These days, there are plenty of simpler tools out there.
