Thinking About Canceling My ChatGPT Subscription

GPT-4o is definitely good, but it's not like I'm asking twice as many questions as I did back in the GPT-3.5 days...

But free options like Claude and Gemini are getting better and better, right?

For those who canceled because they felt it wasn't worth the money—do you regret it?

Agreed, I'm also considering it. But the free version of Claude has a daily limit, which is inconvenient.

Well, I'm still sticking with 4o because the difference in work quality is clear. It's expensive, but the alternatives aren't quite the same.

I also quit and then resubscribed after just 3 weeks lol. The difference is huge when coding and organizing documents. Claude sometimes gets dumb and it's annoying.

Isn't that old news? These days, Gemini is getting pretty decent too. It's especially convenient if you use the Google ecosystem. If you're worried about wasting money, just try it for a month—you might not regret it.

Disagree. 4o is way better at maintaining context and creativity, and if you cancel it just to save money, you might end up wasting more later lol. I think it's better to just keep using it.
