It’s a Real Letdown When There’s No One on the Morning Commute
Usually it’s a packed, hellish train, but at this hour today it’s completely empty. Makes me wonder why I even came out this early if it was going to be like this.

True, it was really empty today lol
I really relate to this emptiness... When you ride an empty subway, it feels like you came out early for nothing and ended up losing out.
I feel the same. Usually I barely make it there standing, but today I went sitting down. I should be happy about it, but somehow it felt hollow.
Well, it’s better without people—what’s there to be disappointed about? Ride the subway from hell just once and you won’t say that. If it’s an empty car, just think of it as a huge win.
Back when I used to leave at 6:30, there was plenty of room, so I’d read a book on the way every time. But at some point, even that hour got packed, so I gave up. A day like today is really rare, so I was glad but also a bit dumbfounded lol. It feels like I’m the only fool who rushed out this morning.
Isn't that just because it's vacation? Once school starts next week, it'll be hell again lol
Then do something with that time. On days when I have free time, I get off one stop early and walk. It’s a decent workout, too, so it’s nice.
I disagree. For me, no people around is the best. An empty subway is the ultimate public welfare.
