Why is Cursor like this these days lol
The refactor that was working fine until yesterday—today, even editing just 3 files blows the context.
As someone paying for this, that's a bit much... What is everyone using these days?

Agreed, the quality drop is really noticeable these days lol. Yesterday it was perfectly fine, but today it's suddenly gone dumb.
I had a similar experience and did some exploring last month, but ultimately, context management seems to matter more than switching models. When I’m touching more than three files, I just start a fresh session, and explicitly stating the edit scope in the prompt helps a bit. Putting things like “maintain existing code style, don’t change import order” in .cursorrules also had a surprisingly good effect. Still, it doesn’t feel the same as before, so I hand off big tasks to something else and use Cursor only for autocomplete. For reference, I didn’t change my plan—it doesn’t seem like something that switching plans would fix.
Well, that's a bit... it's hard to pin it solely on the tool, isn't it? If it's a case of 'it worked fine yesterday but not today,' it's often because indexing got messed up or the project grew larger. Have you tried resetting the settings or clearing the cache? Honestly, posts like this go up every day lately, but wouldn't it be more convincing if there were at least reproduction steps or a comparison? It might just be your imagination, though.
