My coffee machine was dead this morning
Woke up and tried to brew, but no water came out—just the pump humming. Ended up heading to work with a convenience store americano. Should I get this one repaired or just buy a new one?

First, check the sensor or filter.
I had a similar experience, but it turned out the hose inside the water tank was twisted. Open the lid and check it.
Once you factor in the repair cost, you're better off buying a new one. If it's a few years old, just throw it away.

Well, if the pump is making noise, then it's probably not a power issue. Water not coming up is usually due to an air lock or a clogged filter, so just dry the inside and try turning it on again.
I had the same issue last year too. I called for service and it turned out to be a water tank sensor malfunction, so I got the part replaced for 20,000 won. It'd be a waste to buy a new one.
