Coding Self-Study vs. Academy: Which Is Better?
I'm a complete beginner who doesn't even know the basics. I'm wondering whether I can self-study with YouTube or if I should join a bootcamp. People around me say academies are faster, but spending that much money feels like such a waste T_T. I'd like to hear opinions from people with experience.

Agreed, self-study is enough lol
I became a developer through self-study, but don't just watch YouTube—use official docs and communities. Following a structured curriculum at a bootcamp is better in some ways, but whether it's worth the high cost is a different question.
Well, I guess it depends on the person. Honestly, if you're a complete beginner, starting with YouTube can easily leave you feeling lost about what to study first. For me, a bootcamp saved time, and I didn't think it was a waste of money.
I dropped out of a hagwon and self-studied. The hardest part was having no one to ask questions, so if you're a beginner, I'd recommend doing an offline study group in parallel.
