Is there really a difference in code quality between Claude and GPT?
I've been using both for coding lately, but honestly I can't really tell. Which one do you all feel is better? I've also heard it varies by programming language.

I use both too, and the conclusion is it just depends on the day lol. Yesterday Claude produced a clean refactor, and today GPT was better.

Well, that’s a bit... I feel like you might be generalizing from just a few benchmark posts. Model versions keep changing, so I’m not sure it’s meaningful to draw conclusions on this topic.

I do notice it varies a bit by language. For Python, honestly, both are pretty similar, but when TypeScript generics get involved, Claude held up better. And GPT sometimes confidently makes up library functions that don't exist, which is scary.
