I heard AI agents write code well these days. Has anyone tried Claude 4 Opus? I'm wondering if the free version is enough or if it's worth paying for. I plan to use it for code review, so how is it?

Agreed, code review is fine.
I'm using the paid version, and there's definitely a difference from the free one. Code review is especially thorough, and the context length is longer, which was great for analyzing legacy code. However, sometimes it misses errors in the code it wrote itself.
Well, that's kind of... It's just because they advertise a lot; actual users aren't that many.

I just use GPT for code reviews, and that's enough. No need to go paid.
Try the free version first, and if it's lacking, go paid. I'm satisfied with the free tier myself.
Disagree. Code written by agents is often even harder to fix. In the end, a human has to review it all.

Wouldn't Sonnet 3.7 be enough for code review? Ops is focused on agent automation, so it might be overkill. It depends on the project size, but in my experience, the paid option was the way to go for large codebases.
Whenever I see people saying the paid version feels way different, they all sound like ads lol
