Three Months Into My Toy Project, and There’s No End in Sight
At first I thought I only needed to build login and a board, but as I went along, notifications, search, and an admin page kept getting added. I know feature creep is a bad habit, but it’s hard to stop.
How do you all scope your side projects? Is the right approach to deploy an MVP first and then add things on?

Agreed. For now, shipping is the answer. If you don't put it out there, you'll never see the end.
Same here—I’ve just been adding more and more for three months... I was building notifications and ended up adding a queue, and now that there’s a queue I need monitoring lol. Infinite loop.
Well, "ship the MVP first" isn't a silver bullet—if you just throw something up, you keep piling on features while tech debt accumulates, and eventually you end up rewriting it. It'd be worth checking first whether the current structure will make it easy to add search or notifications later.
