Seeking School Teachers' Opinions on Introducing AI Education
I am a high school teacher. The Ministry of Education announced plans to introduce AI digital textbooks, but I'm at a loss because we're not ready to apply them in actual classes.
- Infrastructure: The school doesn't have enough tablets or laptops.
- Training: Teachers have almost no training on using AI in education.
- Content: I don't even know which platforms are good.
If there are any schools that have already adopted them, please share your experiences.

Oh dear... reality is really tough ㅠㅠ
I have the same concern. Infrastructure seems to be the biggest problem.
Honestly, it'll just be a budget war lol. The gap between schools will get worse.
Our school is a pilot school, so we were the first to introduce tablets and an AI platform, but they were thrown at us without any training, which made things tough for the teachers. Still, after the first year, we got used to it and things got better. But really, training is essential.
There's a lot of material on the KERIS site regarding edutech. Take a look.
Actually, I wonder if the introduction of AI textbooks is being pushed too hastily. We can't even properly utilize existing textbooks, so what... There are also many teachers who oppose it.
Wow, you're already adopting it? 😅 I'm totally not ready...
Since last year, I've been using tablets in class, and the pros and cons are clear. The advantage is that it allows for personalized learning. The downside is that students' concentration drops and they often play games. But with AI textbooks, those problems might get worse.
Training is a problem, but the content is an even bigger issue. Looking at the AI platforms out right now, most are skewed toward English and math, while Korean language and social studies are pretty lacking.
I'm in a similar situation too. First, I recommend trying out the free trial. You can apply for a school-level trial at 'Riiid' or 'EdTech Korea'. I've found it helpful to try them one by one and share feedback among teachers.
