Analyzing Why I Failed the AI Interview

I failed the AI competency test at the company I applied to, and I think the issue was that my answers were too short. For the 'teamwork experience' question, I finished in just 30 seconds. Does anyone else have tips for AI interviews, especially on time management and adjusting answer length?

30 seconds was definitely short. When evaluating response completeness, AI often automatically deducts points for responses under a certain time limit. As a tip, I recommend creating templates for each question type that always include the situation-action-result structure. Also, practicing with recordings and timing yourself will help you feel less nervous in real situations.

I've had a similar experience. AI interviews seem to check response length and keyword inclusion more sensitively than human-led ones. For questions like teamwork, it's important to speak for at least one minute and include specific situations, your role, and the outcome. Try practicing with a time allocation of about 1 minute to 1 minute 30 seconds.

I can relate. I also finished in 20 seconds on my first try and got rejected, but on my second attempt, I extended my answers to 1 minute to 1 minute 30 seconds and included specific numbers or examples, and I passed. It seems like AI also evaluates speech speed and naturalness, so it's good to practice not speaking too quickly. Good luck!
