My Experience Making Thumbnails with AI Image Generation
I got tired of making blog thumbnails in Canva every time, so I tried using an image generation model.
To get straight to the point: full automation is still too much to ask for, but it's excellent for generating drafts. I set the mood with a prompt, generate four images, pick the one I like, and just add text on top. My work time has dropped from about 10 minutes to around 3 minutes per thumbnail.
The downsides are that Korean text gets garbled and it's hard to keep the same character consistent. These still need human touch-ups.

Yeah, automation is still a stretch lol. I ended up opening Photoshop because of the text too.
Sure, 3 minutes is a huge reduction—but you didn’t count the time you spent fiddling with the prompt in those 3 minutes, did you? lol For me, I keep generating and 30 minutes just flies by, so I ended up going back to Canva.
