A 3-Month Review of Practicing English Conversation with ChatGPT
Since my English speaking skills were weak, I practiced conversation for 15 minutes every day using ChatGPT's voice mode. At first, I struggled to speak, but after three months, sentences started coming out naturally. Pro tips: 1) Set a topic before starting (e.g., today's news, travel plans). 2) When you encounter an unfamiliar word, ask, 'Can you explain this in simpler English?' 3) After the conversation, ask ChatGPT for grammar feedback. With this method, my TOEIC Speaking score went up by two levels. The cost is zero, but the effect seems better than going to an academy.

Wow, it really works well! I've been struggling with English too, and the tip about choosing a topic before starting seems especially useful. By any chance, what topic would be good to start with at first?
I tried something similar, and the clear advantage is being able to speak without pressure. But sometimes ChatGPT only gives me perfectly correct sentences, so I notice a difference from actual native expressions. Still, I admit it helps a lot if you keep at it consistently!
A 2-level jump in TOSS is impressive! I couldn't even improve much while attending academies, but I'll give this method a try. By the way, did you do anything extra besides the 15 minutes a day?
I've been doing this for three months now, and I really think consistency is key. In particular, the question 'Can you explain this in simpler English?' has been great for naturally learning unfamiliar words. I recommend it!
The idea of great results at zero cost is tempting. But is the voice mode free? I remember it being paid when I used it before... Has the policy changed recently?
Wow, I was actually considering trying this too, and reading your review really motivates me. But isn't it a bit awkward talking to yourself? I feel like I'd have to do it when no one's around, lol.
