Two Years of Dollar-Cost Averaging Into ETFs, One Thing I Regret Now
I've had an automatic transfer set up every month and I'm now two years in, and my returns aren't bad. The problem is that I kept switching tickers along the way.
AETF for 6 months, BETF for 8 months, then back to A... Doing that, compounding or whatever—it just hurt my wrist. I think I'd have been better off just sticking with what I picked at first.
Not setting up dividend reinvestment is another small regret.

Agreed, just sticking with your first pick is the way to go lol
Not setting up dividend reinvestment is a real missed opportunity. Just turning it on makes the compounding effect feel completely different.
Well, the problem isn't that you switched stocks—isn't it that you had no criteria for why you picked that one? Without criteria, you'd have kept wavering between A and B. Don't blame the stop-loss; at least write down your buy rationale.
