Success Story: Landing a Job at a Major IT Company (Preparation Tips and Tricks)

I finally got into my dream company! It was a tough three months, but totally worth it ㅠㅠ

Here’s a breakdown of my preparation process:

1. Resume & Cover Letter: Focused on experience-based writing, emphasizing quantifiable achievements (e.g., reduced traffic by 30%).

2. Coding Test: Solved problems up to Programmers Level 3, and organized algorithms by type.

3. Technical Interview: Solidified CS fundamentals, especially OS, networks, and databases.

4. Project Presentation: Dived deep into one project and highlighted my troubleshooting experience.

The interview atmosphere was generally relaxed, and the working-level team members asked a lot of real-world job-related questions. I tried to answer with confidence.

Hope you all land your dream jobs too!

In just 3 months? That's amazing... I've been preparing for 6 months and it's tough T_T

I'm curious what kind of work led to the 30% traffic decrease. Could you provide some more specific examples?

This is already common knowledge. Isn't it standard to include numbers in a cover letter? I wish there were more unique tips.

What level of skill is typical for Programmers Level 3? I'm barely scraping by at Level 2, lol

Glad to hear the interview atmosphere was comfortable. I also remember that in the working-level interview, they asked deeply about projects, and I got stuck there... ㅠ

I don't agree with only emphasizing CS fundamentals. These days, big companies seem to value actual development skills and collaboration experience more. Isn't there any talk about whether getting certifications actually helped?

Yeah, that's right. Especially going deep into one project really helps a lot in interviews. I prepared in a similar way and passed.

Three months of prep is pretty intense... Don't people usually set aside 6 months to a year? Seems like either they got lucky or they were already skilled.
