React vs Vue — Help Me Choose ㅠㅠ

I'm starting front-end development a bit late in life. People around me all say I should go with React, but I'm torn because I hear Vue is easier to learn.

Is there a big difference in demand in the job market? And which one is better for side projects? I'd love to hear from people with experience.

Yeah, React is much better for getting a job.

Start with React for now and check out Vue later. The concepts are similar, so once you get one down, you'll adapt quickly. In fact, React is overwhelmingly dominant in job postings.

Well... it's hard to say definitively since it varies by region and company, but being easy to learn can backfire later. Vue offers a lot of freedom, so some say React is actually better for starting out solo.

I started with Vue and it wasn't bad. Now I use React though lol

I also started late, but it's better to start with React. The reason is that community resources are overwhelmingly abundant, so beginners have plenty of places to look when they get stuck. Vue seems to have somewhat scarce Korean materials too. Honestly, React also offers far more job opportunities.

The claim that React is hard to learn is a bit exaggerated; rather, the ecosystem is complex, so there's a lot to be confused about at first. Vue has well-written official docs, making it easy to follow from start to finish, and for small projects, Vue is much faster. If you have plenty of time and want to go deep, I recommend React; if you want to see results quickly, I recommend Vue.
