On free-sharing boards, it is used as an invitation to take an item, as in "I'm giving away an unused desk. If you need it, jupjup it." Derived expressions are also diverse.

However, in team play, it is sometimes used sarcastically to criticize taking even a teammate's share as 'jupjup' (excessive hogging), giving it an ambivalent meaning of praise and criticism depending on context.
'Jupjup' in Investment and Economic Communities
In stock and cryptocurrency communities, 'jupjup' means buying in installments at low prices during a downturn. It is used as in "I'll jupjup when there's a correction," and functions as slang that cheerfully expresses the investment psychology of accumulating positions during periods of fear. However, if the outcome is bad, 'jupjup' can soon lead to confirmed losses, so in communities it is sometimes recycled as a self-deprecating meme.

In games and short-form content, meme videos editing 'jupjup' scenes circulate steadily, making the expression a cross-generational term. At the same time, controversies over no-shows and reselling that abuse free sharing have also come to the fore, and voices calling for improving trust rules in sharing culture are growing.
