How Much of the Rate-Cut Expectations Is Already Priced In?
These days, the news is all about rates—the Fed, the Bank of Korea, and so on—but as an ordinary office worker, I’m not sure how this actually affects my life.
To sum it up, when rates fall, deposit interest goes down, loan interest goes down too, and it’s generally favorable for stocks and bonds. The problem is that the market keeps sending mixed signals about whether the “expectations” are already priced in or not.
Does anyone have indicators or routines they use when looking at this kind of thing? Just following the news somehow leaves me more confused.
