I Tried Notion AI and Came Back to a Blank Notion Page

For over a month, I had Notion AI write meeting minutes and automate my calendar. The problem was, I started not understanding the meeting content. It was simple—what I hear and write down myself sticks in my head far better than what AI organizes for me—but I'd been missing that.

Of course, typing time definitely went down. So now I've compromised: AI summaries are a supplement, and I only extract the key action items myself. Honestly, that feels like the most efficient approach.

Yeah, I tried that too and ended up back at square one.

But AI summaries are for meeting minutes; for my own understanding, it's better to write directly, lol

After using it for over a month, it definitely seemed to save time at first, but later I couldn't remember what I'd decided and ended up fumbling around even more. Now I have AI summarize the materials before meetings, and I only take handwritten notes during the meeting. When it comes to extracting action items, a plain notepad works better.

Well, that's not really a Notion AI issue—aren't meeting notes supposed to be written by hand to actually stick in your head? It's not that the AI did anything wrong; the approach itself seems flawed.

Got a source? AI summaries work pretty well for me, honestly. Guess it varies from person to person.
